Support & FAQ

How do I activate the annotation overlay?

Press ⌘⇧X from any app. The overlay activates on all connected displays. Press ⌘⇧X again or Esc to exit.

What are the keyboard shortcuts?

While the overlay is active: R = Rectangle, A = Arrow, C = Circle, S = Straight Line, P = Spotlight. Drag to draw. ⌘Z = undo last shape. Esc = exit overlay.

What is Advanced Mode?

Enable Advanced Mode in Settings to unlock Keep∞ mode (F), Erase mode (E), and Delete All (D). These are hidden by default to keep the basic experience simple.

Does it require Accessibility or Screen Recording permission?

No. Presenter Pointer uses standard Carbon keyboard event APIs. You will never see a permission dialog.

Does it work with multiple monitors?

Yes. Presenter Pointer creates an overlay on every connected display simultaneously. Keyboard shortcuts work regardless of which monitor your cursor is on.

Does it work during Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet screen sharing?

Yes. Share your full screen (not a specific window) and the annotations will be visible to all participants.

What macOS version is required?

macOS 13 Ventura or later. Universal binary — runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.
